I converted to wordpress. It’s kind of sad to leave the simple “journal” engine I wrote in 2001, but with my time being eaten up I had to find something and Wordpress seemed like the easiest option to suit my needs. The other runnerups included: Drupal, Typo, and MODx. MODx probably would have been my second choice. Moving the old posts was simple with a few MySQL commands.
To do:
- Import documentation pages
- Add titles and permalinks to old posts
- Validate old entries

Whew! I was worried you would take the fact that I use Typo as an implicit endorsement of it, and if you installed Typo because of me I would feel guilty.
Nice theme, BTW. It is a little annoying to have enter a comment and then find out that the email address is required. You should either make it optional or state that it’s required.

The main downside to Wordpress is I feel like I joined a massive network of mindless people like I’m on myspace or something.
