Making SharePoint Data Available to SQL Server
One of the big problems I’ve run into with SharePoint is there is no way to write SQL queries against the data (except through unreliable hacks that can break on upgrades)… the inability to write reports against the data is a show-stopper and a strong argument against keeping data in SharePoint.
Not anymore! SharePoint Data Flow Adapters have been written for SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).
